In January 2013, I was contacted by the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History to create two early 17th century blackwork coifs for the Jane bust being created for an archaeological exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the Jane exhibit at the Jamestown History Site. The exhibit opened in May 2013. Here are images of the completed coifs based on documented patterns.
